Scott Becker

Bio

Scott L. Becker is a Founder and Managing Partner of Northstar Capital, LLC. Scott has wide-ranging experience as a private equity and mezzanine investor with specific strengths in fundraising, investment origination, and managing portfolio exits. He is responsible for all aspects of investment management at Northstar and directs fundraising and legal documentation activities for the General Partner and its limited partnerships. Prior to founding Northstar, Scott was Manager of Investments at Adler Management, the private family office of Gerald Rauenhorst founder of Opus Corporation. He also has previous experience in corporate development at General Mills, Inc. and small business loan origination at Control Data Business Centers, Inc. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and serves as an Advisory Board member of the Private Investment Fund of St. John’s University. Scott received a B.A. from St. John’s University, an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota, and a J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law.
