teve Nielsen joined Frazier Healthcare in 2009 as an Operating Partner, working with the firm’s growth equity team to identify investment opportunities in specialty medical products distribution or manufacturing. In early 2011, Steve led our acquisition and is serving as CEO of Laboratory Supply Company, the nation's largest privately held supplier of diagnostic instrumentation and clinical lab products to hospitals, physicians' offices, reference labs and other non-acute care settings. He continues as a Senior Advisor to the firm. Prior to joining Frazier, he was an Operating Partner with Vance Street Capital. Before joining Vance Street in 2008, Mr. Nielsen was a founder, President and CEO of Activus Healthcare Solutions, a distribution company specializing in medical and surgical disposables. From 1984 to 1999, Mr. Nielsen held senior management positions with McKesson General Medical (previously General Medical, most recently as Chairman, President and CEO with responsibility for $1.7 billion in annual sales. Prior to 1984 he held management positions with Bergen Brunswig Medical/Surgical.
