Born in Storm Lake, (Iowa, US) on 11th January 1954. Commenced his professional career in Bankers Trust Company, where he worked for twelve years and obtained a wide experience in management buyouts and other areas of Private Equity. Later, he was the CEO and President of the Board of Directors of Savin Corporation, a company that manufactures office materials and which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wenger Corporation North America. Additionally, is a Director of International Mezzanine Investments, one of the biggest mezzanine funds in Europe, and of Commvest LLC, a fund specialised in infrastructures for Internet. He has also been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of MeesPierson Holdings (US). In the past, Mr Abbott has been Director of Bioquest Fund, ATTI, Solitair AB, Precise Imports and TSG Corp. A degree in Economics from Harvard University.
