Victor E. Tong, Jr. is an Analyst at Bay City Capital and has been with the firm since August 2008. Mr. Tong focuses on bio-pharma, diagnostic / instrumentation, and medical device investment opportunities. Mr. Tong brings a diverse set of experiences from positions on Wall Street, in the biotech industry, and in scientific research. Prior to joining Bay City Capital, Mr. Tong was a member of Morgan Stanley’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group where he advised on and executed financing and strategic advisory activities for private and public companies in the healthcare sector. Mr. Tong’s experience also includes business development work at Hana Biosciences, a biopharmaceutical company developing cancer care products, and genomic sequencing research at Incyte Genomics, a biotech company that developed genomic database products. Mr. Tong received a B.A. in Molecular & Cell Biology and B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was elected to Beta Alpha Psi.
