Bio

Simon Taylor is co-Founder and Blockchain Practice Lead at 11:FS. Simon led Blockchain Research and Development at Barclays, where Barclays became the first bank in the world to perform a live trade finance transaction over a Blockchain / DLT with a real customer attached. Prior to this Simon was on the founding team of Barclays Rise, the fintech outreach programme and worked across Corporate Cash Management, delivering live mobile and transaction banking services. In his early career Simon held technical software roles in the telco sector before moving into banking and financial services a decade ago. Simon delivered one of the first mobile banking apps in the UK market from contract to live in 16 weeks and has built a career on executing innovation at scale with live customers. Today at 11:FS, Simon advises governments, regulators and some of the worlds largest banks, financial institutions and corporations on how Fintech, Blockchain and DLT will impact their business in the short, medium and long-term. At 11:FS Simon is helping clients understand the market and use a start-up approach to building propositions and getting them in the hands of customers. In addition Simon also co-hosts the industry-leading podcasts Fintech Insider and Blockchain Insider. A weekly show covering the news, insights and key interviews from across Fintech and Blockchain.
